    Хороший зверь. Еще лучше, чем обычная М5. Ограниченный тираж.

    по секрету скажу - что она ничем кроме иных тормозов, стабилизаторов и настроек подвески (лень искть полную спецификацию) не отличается от стандартной М5.

    ps/ а вобще поиск рулит - я рассказывал про нее когда-то...

    When the 3,8ltr was introduced for the E34 ///M5, also the suspension was changed. All 3,8ltr versions did get the EDCIII (unique to the M5) suspension. As an option, you could get the Nurburgring package which included:
    A switch with which it is possible to manually override the EDC computer

    A 19mm rear swaybar

    9J*17 rims on the rear with 255/40ZR17 tyres. (All tourings did get these also)
    Summarized history:

    >>From September 1988 until February 1992 (As of February 1990 also for the US and the commonwealth)
    S38B36 engine (315bhp)

    Self levelling rear suspension (No EDC possible)

    8J*17 rims with 235/45ZR17 tyres ('fans')

    OPTION: 9J*17 rims with 255/40ZR17 tyres at the rear

    315mm brake disk at the front, 300mm brake disks at the rear
    >>From February 1992 untill summer 1994
    S38B38 engine (340bhp): Europe Only, For the rest of the world BMW used the S38B36 engine until spring 1993.

    Touring introduced with standard 9J*17 rims/ 255/40ZR17 tyres at the rear ('throwing stars')

    EDCIII suspension package (Again Europe only)

    OPTION: Nurburgring package (Again Europe only) with:

    Cecotto/Winkelhock/UK LTD M5

    BMW made several "Special Edition" M5 models. In 1991, BMW offered the "Cecotto M5" and the "Winkelhock M5." Johnny Cecotto and Joachim Winkelhock were both top drivers on the DTM circuit. BMW asked them what their "ideal M5" would be. For some reason, BMW UK ordered a special edition of the 1995 M5. They were only available in 2 colors, and were otherwise identical to a normal production 1995 M5.

    Cecotto/Winkelhock Information :
    First announced 11/19/1990 in an internal paper as "M5 Sport" and "M5 Luxury" for the 23rd Essen Motorshow in 1990. In an internal paper from 2/26/1991, announced as Cecotto / Winkelhock individual kit.

    "BMW M5 - Variations of a successful car.
    A chance of opening new constituencies.

    In its third year of production the BMW M5 is still driving on the road of success. Recently its claim to be one of the best cars in the world was approved in the international press:
    -R&T USA 12/90 BMW M5 one of the best cars in the world, best coupe/sedan >$45000
    -SportAuto D 11/90 readers choice '90 category sportiest sedan, winner: BMW M5
    -Autocar and Motor UK 12/90, best fast sedan: BMW M5

    This success is mostly based on the combination of sport and comfort atrributes to a harmonic whole.

    That these contrary characters of the BMW M5 can be even more exposed, was indicated at the delivery of the offical cars of our race drivers, who of course went for the appropriate product of their employer from convinction.

    The german touring car trophy vice-champion Johnny Cecotto for example, who already showed his sence for a harmonic combination of sportiness and esthetics with a 1989 M3 special series, primarily thought of the convenience of a luxury interior on the long trips from and to the race track when chosing his configuration. Consequentally a M5 was formed, featuring comprehensive application of the noblest natural materials like wood and leather. A sportscar can hardly be more exclusive.

    In contrast Joachim Winkelhock, this years Schnitzer driver, doesn't want to pass on certain attributes of his group-a race car, e.g. sharp-countoured seats, roughleather steering wheel, stick and handbrake handle as well as red seat-belts from the M3 Sport Evolution, abdication of some options and, for a more intensive sound-experience, reduced noise dampening. The driving impression of this thereby weight reduced M5 exactly complies with the ideas of our "Flying Swabian".

    We were inspired by our drivers and give you and your customers the chance to experience the spectrum of the M5 by yourselves.

    From may on you can order these "unequal twins", as showroom eye-catchers or exceptional demonstration cars, to adress new constituencies. Attached you will find a detailed description and some pictures.

    Contents of the packages:
    Winkelhock:
    - Exterior color "glanzschwarz", contrast color "sterlingsilber."
    - Interior cloth like M5 stock with leather sides.
    - Steering wheel, shift-knob, handbrake-handle in roughleather.
    - Red seatbelts.
    - Evolution sport seats with manual adjustment, without height adjustment.
    - 80L fuel tank.
    - Rear wheels 9*17 with 255/40ZR17 tires.
    - Abdiction of: rear powerwindows, rear headrests, intensive cleaner, foglights, and ilumminated makeup mirrors.
    - Reduced noise dampening (floor carpet).
    - Smaller battery (66Ah).
    - Weight reduced at about 40kg.
    - Reduced options list containing: rearwing, power sunroof, mechanical sunshade for rear screen, floor mats, radios, shadow line, and A/C (with larger battery).
    - Leather casing for car papers, key pocket, and golden M pin.

    Cecotto:
    - Exterior color "mauritiusblau" or "lagunengrьn."
    - Interior full-leather bicolor with wood applications (like 750), leather also on steering column and middle of steering wheel.
    - Rear armrest with storage-box equal to e32.
    - Options package containing: power sunroof, electric sunshade, power seats with memory, heated seats front/rear, automatic A/C with microfilter and AUC,
    headlight washer, servotronic.
    - Caution: option M-technic rear seats (4-seater) not available.
    - Leather casing for car papers, key pocket, and golden M pin.

    The UK LTD M5
    The UK Limited Edition M5 was introduced in 1995. There were 50 LTD M5s produced, 35 examples in Orinocco Green and 15 in Rosso Red. The exterior colors were limited to Orinocco Green and Rosso Red. Rosso Red was avilable with Champagne leather interior. The Orinocco Green was available with a Mint leather with Petrol leather trim interior. The usual 1995 option list was used with the LTD M5.

    The list below details the VIN code and which color was used on that specific car. However, the LTD number (x/50) does not follow the VIN sequentially, even though the first and last VIN are the lowest and highest numbers.
